Stairs up Mount Royal

In October of this year, I walked up the stairs on Mount Royal. I was wondering how many stairs there were to the top. Online sources seemed to differ about this, so I decided to count them myself. I started at the Peel staircase.

From there, there is a winding path you can walk up (I think it's called Le Serpentin), and also staircases that go through the middle of the path for a more direct route up. I went up the staircases.

I eventually reached the Grand Staircase of Mount Royal. I'd been up 175 steps from the bottom of the Peel entrance stairs.

I counted 373 stairs on the Grand Staircase. Added to the 175 steps below it, there are 548 total stairs. It was tiring, especially since I'm not in the best shape. But well worth it.
